The long awaited Magic Mushroom Hour Episode that was weeks in planning and execution. Starting with the Doors, then one of many Kinks tunes sprinkled throughout the 3 hours. The first of several Steely Dan hits, then one of several Thin Lizzy tunes, an excellent song from Lee Michaels, the wonderful version of Isolation by Johnny Depp and Jeff Beck, a couple of Tull songs, one of several from Ozzy and Black Sabbath,  Next, Adam Duritz, Elton, CSN&Y,, Moody Blues, Mark Farner, George Harrison, Simple Minds, the Who, Jackson Browne, the Dream is Over, Mott the Hoople, Van Morrison, long set from ELP, Sons of Texas, Lou Reed, the Byrd’s, and finishing with Crystal Ship. An excellent 3-hour set jam-packed with excellent musicians and writing. Enjoy and don’t touch that dial.

Sorry, it took me 2 weeks to put this episode together as I have always been interested in how the young lads from Liverpool emerged from a club bar to write, perform, and record a book of music that changed the World. I wanted a progression of music from each of their albums to mark the changes in sound, writing, and studio experimentation. We most often listen to bits and pieces of their albums from this huge volume of material and don't really track the progress in their abilities. I hope you find this interesting as I loved putting it together. It's all good and the journey was quite remarkable especially if you follow the changes in culture that paralleled their short period of time together as a group. The Beatles.
